Welcome to the Department of Social and Preventive Epidemiology at the University of Tokyo.

The Department of Social and Preventive Epidemiology at the University of Tokyo conducts
epidemiologic research, mainly the area of “nutritional epidemiology,”
which looks at the connection between food (diet) and health.
“How should we eat to prevent from disease?”  "What kind of food is good to stay healthy?”
To find “true” answers to such questions and to inform the public as much as possible;
that is the mission of our department.
